"Morocco, Canada, United-States, Switzerland, citizen of the world..." Saad Benryane (Saadcreative) is a freelance Graphic Designer with over 8 years of experience. He was born in the beautiful city of Marrakech (Morocco) and moved to the early age of 6 to lively Montreal (Canada). He is currently based in Switzerland and attending ÉCAL / University of Art and Design Lausanne to pursue his studies in Product Design. His interest in graphic design sprung at the age of 11, learning on his own and finding a good way to make use of his interest and talent in drawing. He learned to sharpen his skills by volunteering as a graphic designer for a variety of non-profit organizations, helping them to establish an identity, a concept with assistance of graphic material. Still seeking knowledge and perfection, Saad's first contact with the professional world was made at the age of 14, when he was selected to assist designers with their work in a New-York based design firm. From then on, he gradually built his own network by first creating his high-school's website to working with a variety of client profiles: individuals, small and big businesses, organizations and more. Studies are very important for productivity, whether you are talented or not, studies allow you to be able to come up with good ideas constantly, not just once in a while. I don't count on school to teach me everything, I still feel the necessity to get knowledge elsewhere: from books, internet, magazines, life! I came up with this little moto: Use school as a tool and not as a stool... Saad Benryane's interest in design and art grew into more in-depth fields such as architecture and product design, fields in which he currently studies in. "...efficiency is strong and strenght is success..." With time and experience, the young entrepreneur gained other useful skills such as communication, corporate identity creation, public image management, Concept elaboration and more. He describes his work as being simply efficient and complete, as he says: "... an idea with a complete structure is efficient, efficiency is strong and strenght is success...". For him, design cannot survive independantly, it reaches completition when combined with other elements of moral value, such as a purpose, a philosphy, an objective : "A good designer is one that, along the design process, does not forget that his project has an objective, and not only constraining criterias to overcome...". |
